I didn’t start today well, although this surprises me considering how many common letters I used in my first two words. Yet after both EXPECTATION and HASTE I only had two yellow boxes and had only reduced the number of remaining solutions to a whopping 73. Not good! EDIFY – which just seemed like the kind of harsh word we’ve been getting lately – brought that down to just 4. I gambled on my gut (and my gut health) and went with FIBER. Luckily for me it was the Wordle! Huzzah!

• Guessing 1 is worth 3 points; guessing in 2 is worth 2 points; guessing in 3 is worth 1 point; guessing in 4 is worth 0 points; guessing in 5 is -1 points; guessing in 6 is -2 points and missing the Wordle is -3 points.
• If you beat your opponent, you get 1 point. In case of a draw you get 0 points. And if you lose to your opponent, you get -1 point. Add it up to get your score. Keep a daily running score or play for a new score every day.
• Friday is 2XP, which means you double your points: positive or negative.
