Travis Kelce and the Chiefs win as Taylor Swift returns to cheer them on

The Kansas City Chiefs went a perfect 8-0 on the NFL season after an overtime thriller – with Taylor Swift’s approval!

Travis Kelce, Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs defeated the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 24-17 at Arrowhead Stadium on Monday, Nov. 4 as Swift, 34, supported her boyfriend during the Week 9 game in Kansas City.

Kelce caught 14 passes for 100 receiving yards as Swift — wearing a vintage-style Chiefs leather jacket and knee-high Christian Louboutin boots — cheered him on.

Kelce fumbled the ball just before halftime, but the Chiefs pulled off another win with a dominant second half.

Early in the fourth quarter, the 29-year-old Mahomes appeared to suffer an injury while running the ball toward the end zone. The Chiefs quarterback winced when he landed hard on his ankle, which had been injured earlier.

Fortunately, Mahomes was back on the field shortly afterwards.

Overtime had the fans at Arrowhead Stadium in nervous silence as Kelce made a handful of catches from Mahomes, but running back Kareem Hunt helped the Chiefs seal the victory in overtime with the final touchdown.

The “So High School” singer cheered on Kelce and his teammates with her mother, Andrea Swift, brother Austin, and the Chiefs star’s mother, Donna Kelce. Andrea even wore Kansas City merchandise in the VIP suite with a jacket that said “In My Chiefs Era.”

Also present at Arrowhead Stadium was Travis’ brother, Jason Kelce, who provided commentary on ESPN’s Monday Night Football game.

Just days before Swift supported Kelce and the Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium, the tight end made the trip to Indianapolis to attend the second night of his girlfriend’s Eras Tour shows at Lucas Oil Stadium.

The Chiefs’ win on Monday comes a week after Kelce had his best game of the season, complete with a touchdown, against the Las Vegas Raiders on Oct. 27. The dominant performance somewhat broke a dry spell to start the new season for Kelce. who admitted he got off to a slow start to his twelfth season in the NFL.

After the Week 8 win, Kelce celebrated with a rare Instagram post to commemorate his first touchdown of the season, captioning the photos: “Vegas baby!! Vegas!!”

The Chiefs will next host the Denver Broncos at home on Sunday, November 10.
