California Governor Gavin Newsom, one of Trump’s leading opponents, lashed out at the former president, calling him personally unable to withstand attacks and “boring” on the trail.

“He doesn’t know any other way. He’s incapable of not doing it,” Newsom said when asked if Trump would attack Harris’ personality. “This is a man whose weakness masquerades as strength.”

Newsom expects Harris to “rise above” the attacks, but also “fight back” them.

“She’s new, she’s the next generation. He’s old, he’s stale, he’s distracted, he’s, dare I say, boring,” Newsom added.
