Donald Trump hugged and thanked his best-selling author wife Melania as the Republican declared victory in the US elections.

Trump made the statement even as ballots are still being counted in some swing states.

During his campaign watch party in Palm Beach on Wednesday (Nov. 6), Trump said: “I want to thank my beautiful wife Melania, First Lady, who has the best-selling book in the country, can you believe that?

“She has done a great job and works very hard to help people.”
