Trump vs. Harris: US election polls point to nail-biting end as these key states become too close to call

The latest polls show tight races between the two presidential candidates in Wisconsin, Minnesota, Michigan and North Carolina.

The New York Times national average gives Kamala Harris a razor-thin edge at 49%, compared to 48% for Donald Trump.

With 19 electoral votes and no specific vote, Pennsylvania is expected to be the deciding factor this election season.

The latest polls show Trump with a 2% lead in Pennsylvania, while Harris leads nationally by 1.4 points. Nevertheless, Harris is performing better in Pennsylvania than Biden did earlier this year.

Nationally, Morning Consult’s survey shows Harris leading nationally by 3%, from 50% to 47%, in a poll of likely 8,807 voters. The findings indicate that voters’ positivity about Harris has increased, but 49% have heard negative news about Trump. The poll has a margin of error of 1%.

Reuters/Ipsos shows Harris has a razor-thin lead of 44% to 43% in Trump’s favor among 975 registered voters. Among the most likely voters, Harris leads 47% to 46%. She has topped every Reuters/Ipsos poll of registered voters since July.

SurveyUSA/WRAL polling of North Carolina voters shows Harris and Trump tied at 47% in the state among 853 likely voters. This points to a statistical impasse in an important state with sixteen electoral votes.

Highlights from the USA TODAY/Suffolk poll In Wisconsin, Trump leads by just 1%, 48% to 47%. A gender gap here shows Harris winning women by 14%, while Trump leads men by 18%.

A MinnPost-Embold poll shows Harris with a 48% to 45% lead as the number of undecided voters in the state of Minnesota narrows by 10 votes.

A WDIV/Detroit News poll shows Harris with a narrow lead of 47% to 44%, with 41% of Michigan voters prioritizing jobs and the economy.

TIPP Tracking Poll gives Harris a 48% lead over Trump’s 47% in a survey of 1,291 voters conducted over three days. The poll points to a national economic dissatisfaction that could affect Harris.

While each poll tells a different piece of the story, these narrow margins point to a likely nail-biter, with election turnout and late undecided key states potentially changing.
