Tulsa Run 2024 is scheduled for Saturday, October 26

The TTCU Tulsa Run returns for its 47th year on Saturday, with an estimated 5,000 runners and fans in attendance throughout the morning in downtown Tulsa.

Offering the traditional variety of races for everyone, the event includes the featured 15K, along with a 5K, a double option to run both, and a 2K.

From the starting line at Third Street and Boston Avenue, the morning 5K begins at 7:30 a.m., followed by the 2K at 8 a.m.

The 15K starts at 8:30 am

The wheelchair race starts five minutes before the scheduled start times for the 5K and 15K.

This year’s participants come from 24 states, with Oklahoma, Texas, Arkansas, Missouri and Kansas being the most represented.

More than 150,000 participants have completed the 15 km race since 1978, when just over a thousand crossed the line.

A highlight of the 15K will once again be the “All Year Runners,” those who have participated in every Tulsa Run. This year there are three, ranging in age from 69 to 84 years.

The oldest runner of this year’s 15 km is 86. The youngest registered participant is 11.

As always, a number of charity teams will participate, representing a variety of non-profits and organizations. The Tulsa Run, which offers teams the opportunity to raise money for their organizations, has donated more than $330,000 to local nonprofits since 2011.

Each finisher of the race receives a medal. All men who complete the 15 km in less than an hour and all women who complete the 15 km in less than 70 minutes will receive a mug.

Prizes will be awarded to the top three finishers in the 15K and 5K for both male and female divisions, separated by age group, ranging from 6 to 75 years old. The first three male and female 5K and 15K finishers in wheelchairs will also receive prizes.

Once again it will be fun at the finish. The Finish Line Festival is held in the parking lot south of Third Street between Boston and Cincinnati Avenues, north of Chase Bank. The festival includes unofficial times, music, large candy bars, pizza slices and beer from American Solera, Cabin Boys and Marshall Brewing.
