The ‘richest city in the world’ will soon host the first Abu Dhabi Business Week (ADBW) at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center (ADNEC Center Abu Dhabi) from December 4 to 6.

The event, held under the theme ‘Deliver Value. Create Impact’ reflects the emirate’s economic growth and its commitment to promoting a business-friendly environment.

During this week, more than 150 speakers and 8,000 policymakers, business leaders, international investors and entrepreneurs will explore new opportunities, forge strategic partnerships and drive sustainable economic development.

Recently named the richest city in the world, Abu Dhabi is home to $1.7 trillion in sovereign wealth fund assets and enjoys the strongest sovereign credit rating in the GCC, providing investors with unparalleled access to financing and growth opportunities. The emirate also ranks first for ease of doing business in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.

Reflecting Abu Dhabi’s commitment to fostering a thriving business environment, ADBW will provide participants with opportunities to explore new markets and gain valuable insights into the trends and strategies shaping the future of the fast-growing ‘Capital of Capital’.

ADBW will focus on strategies to strengthen businesses and cultivate an ecosystem characterized by greater collaboration between the public and private sectors, driving growth and diversification.

Ahmed Jasim Al Zaabi, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ADCCI), said: “Supported by our multi-dimensional sustainable development strategies and a focus on new, high-growth sectors, Abu Dhabi’s business-friendly ecosystem offers promising opportunities for investors, companies and talent to thrive and expand on a global scale. These strategies are boosting the non-oil sectors, which now account for more than 55 percent of Abu Dhabi’s GDP, after growing 6.6 percent in the second quarter of 2024. Over the past decade, the issuance of economic licenses has increased by as much as Up 196 percent, underscoring Abu Dhabi’s supportive economic landscape.”

The first edition of the event will host ten specialized events, including the Abu Dhabi Business Forum, which will address key topics such as global investment dynamics in Abu Dhabi, business clusters, regulation and public-private partnerships.

Other events provide participants with in-depth insights into topics such as innovation, procurement, women’s empowerment, family businesses, youth and entrepreneurship.

ADBW will be held under the patronage of Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, organized by the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ADCCI) in collaboration with the Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development (ADDED) and Abu Dhabi Investment Office (ADIO).
