Through the first two rounds, neither man was able to gain a significant advantage Ulberg with a bit more variety as Oezdemir stepped forward and tried to box in the City Kickboxing man along the fence. Both men opened up a little more in the third, with Oezdemir throwing more low kicks and looking for a few takedowns, while Ulberg held his ground and traded a little more often than in the opening ten minutes.

The judges were tasked with determining a winner, and when the scorecards were read out, it was Ulberg who won by unanimous decision. That now makes seven in a row for “Black Jag,” who continues to make strides in the 205-pound weight class and should share the Octagon with another Top 10 opponent next time.
