‘Vanderpump Rules’ Cast Gets Complete Reboot by Bravo After Unsustainable Season 11

After a divisive and divisive season 11 following Scandoval, “Vanderpump Rules” will be completely recast, Bravo announced Tuesday morning.

After achieving high ratings during the show’s tenth season in 2023 in the wake of the cheating scandal known as the Scandoval — and being nominated for two Emmys — ‘Vanderpump Rules’ faced intolerable problems as the cast came together to film season 11 in the summer of 2023. Ariana Madix and Tom Sandoval, who split after Madix’s affair with fellow cast member Rachel Leviss discovered, were largely unable to film together. because Madix absolutely despised Sandoval. She drew a strict line between them that was healthy for her, but proved untenable for “Vanderpump Rules,” which requires solidarity among the cast.

Production on the show’s new season will begin next year and the cast will be announced at a later date.

Season 2 of the “Vanderpump Rules” spinoff “The Valley” filmed this summer and featured guest appearances from Scheana Shay and her husband Brock Davies, as well as Lala Kent and Tom Schwartz. These cast members could be moving to “The Valley” permanently for Season 3, as they are IRL friends with the show’s core cast of Brittany Cartwright, Jax Taylor and Kristen Doute. Season 2 of “The Valley” will premiere next year. Madix has also achieved success outside the show. She appeared twice in Broadway’s “Chicago,” hosted “Love Island” for Peacock and with her sandwich shop Something About Her in West Hollywood, which she owns with “Vanderpump Rules” cast member Katie Maloney. .

The new cast of “Vanderpump Rules” will consist of staffers at executive producer Lisa Vanderpump’s existing restaurants, which is how the original show started in 2013 when it was an offshoot of “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.” According to Bravo’s official announcement today: “Under the watchful eye of Lisa Vanderpump, West Hollywood mainstay SUR – and now TomTom – welcomes the next class of servers, hosts and bartenders full of drama, situationships and enemies.”

“What a thrill it is to build on the legacy of this series by doing it all over again,” said Alex Baskin, executive producer of 32 Flavors. “With a deep appreciation for the original group and their iconic run, we can’t wait for audiences to see a dynamic new group of colleagues and friends navigate life together.”

In recent years, Bravo has proven that it isn’t afraid of restarting shows that don’t work. After a disastrous thirteenth season of “The Real Housewives of New York City,” Bravo recast the show from the ground up, with mixed results. “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” may also receive such treatment, as that cast could no longer be in the same room together at the end of the most recent season, but the network is taking its time to figure out a path forward to search. with that performance.
