‘Vanderpump Rules’ Renewed with an All-New Cast in Bravo Refresh

It’s official: Vanderpump Rules gets a makeover.

Bravo announced on Tuesday that the popular reality series is returning, but with a brand new cast. The news comes as the series, which was released as a spin-off from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hillshas been on hiatus following the aftermath of “Scandoval,” the scandal that catapulted the original cast into the zeitgeist and has played out over the past two seasons with both notable and controversial results.

Season 12 features Lisa Vanderpump — Vanderpump Rules executive producer and the boss of SUR, the Los Angeles restaurant around which the show centers – with a new group of “tight-knit SUR verses who are as intricately involved with each other as their iconic predecessors,” according to the announcement. “Under the watchful eye of Lisa Vanderpump, West Hollywood mainstay SUR – and now TomTom – welcomes the next class of servers, hosts and bartenders full of drama, situationships and enemies.”

The new season will begin production next year. The premiere date and names of the new cast will be announced at a later date.

Original cast members Lala Kent, Scheana Shay, Brock Davies and Tom Schwartz will all appear in the next season of Vanderpump Rules spin-off The Valley, The Hollywood Reporter has learned. A source close to the show leaves the door open for the entire cast – which also includes Ariana Madix, Tom Sandoval, James Kennedy and Katie Maloney – to enter The Valley, Vanderpump Rules and greater Bravoverse.

There will also be a retrospective special highlighting the past eleven seasons that will “celebrate the past decade of heartbreak, friendship breakdowns and scandals.”

“What a thrill it is to build on the legacy of this series by doing it all over again,” said Alex Baskin, executive producer of Vanderpump Rules via 32 Flavors. “With a deep appreciation for the original group and their iconic run, we can’t wait for audiences to see a dynamic new group of colleagues and friends navigate life together.”

Vanderpump himself added: “The last twelve years of filming have been an extraordinary series full of laughter, tears and everything in between. I can’t thank those who shared their lives enough. How I love you all. In the catering industry, one team always makes way for the other. Cheers to the next generation Vanderpump Rules.”

Vanderpump Rules is produced by 32 Flavors and Evolution Media. Baskin, Barry Poznick, Jenn Levy, Joe Kingsley, Vanderpump and Ken Todd are executive producers.
