EAGAN, Minn. – The Minnesota Vikings (5-1) ruled out TJ Hockenson and guard Dalton Risner on Thursday ahead of their Week 8 opener at the Los Angeles Rams (2-4) at Thursday night football.

Both are nearing the end of their 21-day evaluation period.

Hockenson is recovering from a knee injury he suffered against Detroit on December 24, 2023. He is on the Reserve/Physically Unable to Perform list.

Risner is recovering from a back injury suffered during training camp. He is on the injured/designated for return list.

The Vikings also used standard raises on tight end Robert Tonyan and defensive lineman Jalen Redmond from their practice squad. Both have spent time on Minnesota’s 53-man roster and practice squad this season.
