Visa Inc., the world’s largest payments network, posted a fiscal fourth-quarter profit that beat Wall Street expectations as cross-border transactions increased.

Adjusted net income rose 13% to $5.4 billion, or $2.71 per share, the San Francisco-based company said in a statement Tuesday. That was higher than the average estimate of $2.58 from analysts polled by Bloomberg.
