Your Mission

We are looking for a VP of Southern Europe Sales/Business Development to lead and build a team (10+ FTEs) focused on delivering new business, growing our local footprint and managing teams across all countries. This role is accountable for overall sales performance including achieving targets for profitable sales volume, market share and other key financial performance objectives that align with the overall Nuvei business strategy.

Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Develop and execute robust strategies to maximize revenue streams and achieve aggressive financial goals by aligning the sales organization’s objectives with the company’s business strategy. Financial goals include accountability for effective sales organization design and resource deployment.
  • Develop and maintain key customer relationships, strategic partnerships and alliances to enhance the organization’s market position and drive business success.
  • Provide strong and purposeful leadership to the sales team, foster a high-performance culture and promote collaboration in a multicultural environment.
  • Develop and execute the strategy to establish successful partnerships in the payments industry, enable lead generation, and implement product enhancements to support revenue generation.
  • Build and foster teamwork within key internal partnerships to deliver customer experience and overall sales objectives, such as marketing, sales operations, commercial support, risk, finance and more

Qualifications include (but are not limited to):

  • Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • 10+ years of experience leading sales and relationship management teams
  • 10+ years of experience in a management role in the payments industry and leadership experience in senior management positions.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain relationships with partners, merchants and payments leaders in the industry.
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment, quickly adapt to market changes and increase agility within the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and inspire high-performing teams across a distributed workforce and multiple time zones, and to collaborate effectively with colleagues to overcome challenges and drive teamwork to achieve results.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and be willing to travel as needed to build relationships, attend key events and support business initiatives in the Europe region.
  • The ideal candidate lives in France or Spain and ideally speaks both languages ​​fluently.
