“I haven’t had many conversations with JJ,” said Bellamy, who has named James in his squad for the upcoming Nations League matches against Turkey and Iceland.

“It’s always difficult for a child or anyone who moves to another country. The same was true for me (in Belgium) the first few months.

“You learn the language, but it’s just a different way of doing things, even simple things like eating.

“JJ is in a period where he is still a young kid. But he is at a very good football club that is developing young players and making progress, and I see it as a smart move.”
