Walmart expansion, more Sheetz and Wawa locations and 21 other projects proposed in central Pa.

During August and September, developers in south-central Pennsylvania proposed plans to build warehouses, convenience stores, apartments and homes.

The list below contains 24 projects in 15 municipalities in three provinces.

Please note: Not all proposed plans will become reality and some projects may take years before construction begins.

Canner storage

Ridge Rentals plans to build three self-storage buildings at 170 Hanover St.

Municipality of Conewago

RCM investments

Plans call for the removal of part of an existing parking lot to construct an office building at 100 Filbert St.

Reading

Chesterfield phases 3 and 4

Good Hope Ventures will build 35 homes at 2283 East Berlin Road.

Municipality of Straban

Amblebrook Section D Revised

CCD Rock Creek plans to build 259 homes on Hunterstown Road.

Wawa

Straban 30 Developers plans to build a supermarket and gas station in Gateway Gettysburg.

Cumberland County

Municipality of Hampden

The homes on Trindle

Sixty-one units – 37 townhomes and 24 apartments – are planned for the multifamily apartment complex and the townhome complex. The developer is Hampden Townhomes.

Salem Meadows Townhomes

The planned community development includes 40 townhomes. The developer is located in Silver Spring Township and is Salem Meadows LLC.

Lower Allen Township

A 3,057-square-foot expansion is planned for the Walmart Supercenter store at 3400 Hartzdale Drive.

Lower Mifflin Township

Davis Ag Operation

Plans call for the construction of two duck barns on Pipeline Road totaling 84,448 square feet.

Middlesex Township

RV storage facility

The plans call for 368 covered RV storage spaces and a 9,000-square-foot office building on Claremont Road. The developer is York County-based Claremont Road LLC.

Penn community

A&S Self Storage LLC

The applicant is proposing the construction of 25,200 square feet of self-storage mini-warehouses at 758 Centerville Road.

Tim Eberly Ag Operation

The plans call for the construction of a new poultry farm with two barns totaling 56,112 square feet of space, with manure storage areas and an egg room.

Silver Spring Township

Lawrence W. and Judith L. Zimmerman Poultry Farm

The plan includes the construction of two poultry houses totaling more than 58,000 square feet of space on Kost Road.

Spring Meadow Reserve Phase 3

A land development plan has been submitted for the final phase – Phase 3 – of the Spring Meadow Reserve project, which will include 24 detached single-family homes. The developer is EG Stoltzfus.

Municipality of Southampton

Southwood intersection

Thirty-three homes will be built on East Clarissa Drive. This is phase 8 of the project.

South Middleton Township

Morgan’s Crossing mansion phase I

Plans call for the construction of 37 townhomes on East Springville Road and Lindsey Road. The McNaughton Company is the developer.

Wheatstone

Wheatstone is a proposed age-restricted residential community consisting of 258 single-family homes (78 detached single-family homes and 180 semi-detached duplexes) and a clubhouse. Wheatstone’s conditional use plan was approved by the South Middleton Township Board of Supervisors on November 22, 2022.

Walmart

Walmart plans to expand its online grocery pickup building by 3,567 square feet.

Upper Allen Township

Autumn Chase PRD Phase VI

Autumn Chase is a partially built residential community in Upper Allen Township. Phase VI consisting of 36 semi-detached duplex single-family homes.

Funtastik Skate and Snow

The 60,000-square-foot store is planned for 2324 S. Market St. The developer is Hampden Township-based K&D Property Group.

Dauphin County

Creekview lawn and landscapes

Creekview Management plans to build a two-story, 8,000-square-foot garage and office.

Harrisburg

Wildheart ministries

Wildheart Ministries plans to acquire five vacant properties at 1260 Market St. in Harrisburg and transform them into affordable housing and commercial spaces. (Photo provided, file)Photo provided

The gateway for Wildheart Ministries

The plans call for construction of a 4,875-square-foot mixed-use complex with four commercial units on the first floor and affordable housing for the first through three years.

West Hanover Township
