After beating the Golden State Warriors in the first game of the 2024/24 season on Wednesday, Thursday was Klay Thompson’s first game as a member of the Dallas Mavericks. To open the season. the former Golden State legend met with Victor Wembanyama and the San Antonio Spurs in Dallas on Thursday night.

Thompson wasted no time getting started with his new team. Thompson donned No. 31 and got on the board with his first official points as a Maverick. Thompson caught the ball on the wing and performed a pump fake to let his former teammate Chris Paul fly by before stepping inside the arc for a mid-range jumper.
