What is the special documentary about?

The documentary, part of ID Network’s “No Excuse for Abuse” campaign, tells the story of musician Chris Brown and his deep history of violence, including his allegations of domestic violence, assault and sexual assault beginning in 2009. The documentary includes commentary on his abuse of pop star, celebrity and then-girlfriend Rihanna, and includes new allegations from a victim that recently emerged. What happened to Chris Brown?

Chris Brown was found guilty of domestic violence against Rihanna in 2009 and sentenced to five years’ probation. Since then, he has appeared in court multiple times on abuse allegations and is currently facing another abuse charge in Texas. He was recently diagnosed with bipolar disorder and post-traumatic stress disorder, and has been in and out of rehabilitation centers in recent years. His most recent tour was in 2023, the same year he released his most recent album, called 11:11. As of 2014 he has three children. Legally, Chris Brown was recently arrested in Paris in July 2024 on possible charges of aggravated rape.
