    Florida football will have a chance to change the narrative of the 2024 season when it plays at No. 9 Tennessee on Saturday night.

    An upset over the Vols would give the Florida Gators (3-2, 1-1 SEC) some confidence heading into a stretch when they play five ranked opponents in their next six games.

    “Tennessee has a really good football team,” Florida football coach Billy Napier said. “I think all three parts of their team bring challenges. I have a lot of respect for the way they play, the pace on offense, but the physicality of the run game combined with the explosive plays, vertical plays and perimeter concepts can be quite challenging.”

    Florida has a 32-21 all-time edge and has won 17 of the last 19 games between the two schools. But in UF’s last trip to Neyland Stadium, the Gators lost 38-33 to the Vols on Sept. 24, 2022, despite passing for 453 yards from former UF quarterback Anthony Richardson.
