Georgia Football and Ole Miss will meet as ranked opponents for the second straight time in November.

Last year’s match did not go well for the Rebels, who were defeated 52-17 in a top 10 match in Athens.

Lane Kiffin has upgraded his roster through the transfer portal and will get another shot at the 7-1 Bulldogs on the home turf of the 7-2 Rebels in Oxford on Saturday.

“I think we’re a better team this year,” Kiffin said. “Defensively we are better than a year ago. Very different in the front six with the four D-linemen and the two backers. We are very different there. Hopefully that will help us.”

The defensive front includes Texas A&M defensive tackle transfer Walter Nolen (7 ½ tackles for loss including 4 sacks), Florida defensive end transfer Princely Umanmielen (7 ½ sacks) and Arkansas linebacker transfer Chris Paul Jr. (65 tackles, 2 ½ sacks)

Ole Miss is coming off a 63-31 win against Arkansas.

Quarterback Jaxson Dart has thrown for 3,210 yards with 21 touchdowns and 3 interceptions and leads the nation in pass efficiency while completing 71.7 percent of his passes.

“This guy plays scary football when you talk about the accuracy, the completion percentage and the yards he throws for,” Georgia coach Kirby Smart said. “He’s not throwing dink and dunk passes right now. This man throws the ball vertically across the field, shots. Then when you do that, let’s say you handle all that, and when you do that, he can take off and run away. You see a quarterback rushing this guy, and you don’t have enough people in the box. So the reason they are successful is because of the plan and the players involved.”

CHANCES: Georgia with 1.5

O/U: 54.5

Prediction: Georgia 31, Ole Miss 24

Georgia’s Carson Beck is due for a game where he solves his interception issues. It will help Trevor Etienne recover well from his rib injury. The Bulldogs limited Jaxson Dart in Athens last season and they should keep him and the Rebels from making too many explosive plays.
