HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) – This week at the weather bureau, there was talk about the possibility that the remnants of Hurricane Francine could bring us some welcome showers.

Thanks to our reliable computer models (mathematical simulations of the weather using billions of calculations), there is sufficient evidence against rain. We have made a forecast that it will not rain in general. The areas in Eastern Kentucky have the highest chance of light showers.

Since that idea hasn’t changed, I thought it would be interesting to look at Francine from the perspective of the great American city of New Orleans. So tonight, Weather Extra focuses first on our area that is missing the rain, and then on the expected tropical storm weather in the French Quarter. Remember, it’s my mantra to give weather fans a little EXTRA when I make these videos. I hope you enjoy this piece.
