BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – A Western New York resident from Fredonia who went missing in Budapest was killed earlier this week, Hungarian police said.

Mackenzie Michalski, 31, who had gone to Hungary as a tourist, was last seen at a nightclub on Tuesday. She worked as a nurse.

Investigators have arrested a 37-year-old man from Ireland with whom Michalski was seen at several clubs that evening. Police said the man confessed to the murder and showed police where he hid her body.
