According to several of his ex-girlfriends, Louise Post of the alternative rock band Veruca Salt and snowboarder Tina Basich, Dave Grohl is said to have cheated on him before.

As The Guardian noted, Grohl’s 1997 divorce from his first wife, Jennifer Youngblood, was partly due to “admitted infidelity.” After their marriage ended, he began a relationship with Post, but the relationship ended rather abruptly. During a 1997 show in Australia, Post revealed that Grohl had apparently cheated on her with actress Winona Ryder, according to Outkick. Post later admitted that she was incredibly drunk at the time, but she did not retract her comments.

In the late ’90s, Grohl dated Basich, an American snowboarder who won multiple Winter X Games medals. However, their relationship ended in 1999 after she learned that he was secretly seeing another woman, according to Grunge. In her 2003 autobiography, “Pretty Good for a Girl,” she said, “All I got was a five-minute phone call from him after five weeks of calling and trying to reach him because I just had to know if these rumors were true.” The breakup was so traumatic that Basich said she didn’t decide to mention Grohl until “the fifth rewrite” of the book.

In his Instagram post, Grohl didn’t reveal who he cheated with, though he plans to be “a loving and supportive parent” to his new baby girl. He wrote, “We are grateful for your consideration for all children involved as we move forward together.”
