How to find your sample ballot in Ohio for the 2024 election

Each county votes on different candidates and issues, hence the different ballots depending on where you vote on Election Day. It is important to write them down before you go to your polling station. Finding your sample ballot in Ohio is quite easy.

You can find your sample ballot on the Secretary of State’s website by following these simple steps:

  1. Know the name of your county, find it on the map of Ohio (or in an alphabetical list) and click on it
  2. Enter your first and last name
  3. When your name appears, on the far right under ‘Quick Links’ you will find ‘Sample Ballots’
  4. Click on “View Ballot”
  5. You will find the sample ballot for your county

When do the polls close in Ohio?

Polls in Ohio open at 6:30 a.m. and close at 7:30 p.m. on Election Day. If you are in line when the polls close, stay in line so you can vote.
