    The next inauguration ceremony will take place on Monday, January 20, 2025.

    It takes place at the US Capitol in Washington DC

    What events will take place on Inauguration Day?

    The events, planned by the Joint Congressional Committee on Inaugural Ceremonies, include the swearing-in, the inaugural address and the pass review.

    Previous performers and speakers include Beyoncé, Garth Brooks, Lady Gaga and Amanda Gorman.

    There are other events leading up to and following the inauguration, including the Inaugural Parade and the Inaugural Balls.
