Where Big Ten teams are in the playoffs

play

(This story has been updated to add new information).

The college football schedule was full of chaos in Week 13, with several College Football Playoff hopeful teams suffering setbacks that undermined their efforts to make the 12-team playoffs.

For the Big Ten, however, Week 13 was largely business as usual.

In the one notable matchup between CFP hopeful teams, No. 2 Ohio State withstood an early score from No. 10 Indiana and defeated the Hoosiers 38-15 in a game that wasn’t as close as the score indicated. But even that loss to the Hoosiers, ranked fifth in the Week 13 CFP Top 25, was softened by several college football setbacks.

The Hoosiers have Oklahoma, Florida and Auburn to thank for that, each of which defeated two-loss SEC teams in Alabama, Ole Miss and Texas A&M, respectively. With these losses and more in Week 13, Indiana’s loss on Saturday to the Buckeyes still hurt, but don’t rule out being left out of the 12-team playoffs.

With that, here’s what you need to know about the fourth set of rankings, and where the Big Ten ranks in the latest CFP top 25:
