It’s been a while.

For the first time since 2009, the New York Yankees are World Series bound after defeating the Cleveland Guardians in a thrilling five-game ALCS.

To reach the Fall Classic, the Bronx Bombers were led by stars Juan Soto and Giancarlo Stanton, both of whom hit sky-highs in the final game in Cleveland — Soto’s 10th-inning home run broke a 2-2 tie — which helped them to achieve victory. American League pennant in dramatic fashion.

Next, Aaron Boone’s pinstripe squad will take on the Los Angeles Dodgers of Shohei Ohtani and Mookie Betts, who just staved off the New York Mets in the NLCS. This will be the twelfth time the clubs have met in the World Series; the last time was 1981 when the Dodgers won in six.

Game 1 is on Friday, October 25 at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles.

The series returns to the Big Apple for games three through five on Monday, October 28, Tuesday, October 29 and Wednesday, October 30.
