Nick Jonas revealed he auditioned for the role!

Although he is best known for his music career, both solo and with his brothers, Nick actually got its start on Broadway. His credits include Les Miserables, Beauty and the Beast, Annie, get your gun And How to Become Successful in Business Without Really Trying. He returns to the Great White Way in the upcoming first-ever Broadway production of The past five yearsin the same role Jonathan portrayed in 2016!

Ryan McCartan

Broadway and former Disney star Ryan McCartan revealed that he was one of many who auditioned for Fiyero!

“Jon (M Chu)you didn’t cast me in the movie even though I worked so hard. That’s fine, no hard feelings,’ Ryan said on his podcast. “Confirmed I auditioned… One of the many, many things I didn’t book.”

Ryan is no stranger to the role, having actually portrayed Fiyero on Broadway in 2018 and 2019.

He also played along Frozen the musical on Broadway, and he’s actually heading back to the Great White Way in a new musical in 2025!
