Quincy Jones showed love for his children until the end.

In the legendary producer’s final Instagram post on Saturday, shared a day before his death, he wished his daughter Martina a happy 58th birthday. “So proud to be a daddy!” he wrote alongside a photo of them together. “Big hug, I love you forever.”

The Grammy winner, who produced Michael Jackson’s best-selling “Thriller” and collaborated with artists including Frank Sinatra, died Sunday at the age of 91, his publicist confirmed. The music icon, who was married three times, is survived by seven children.

Jones was first married to actress Jeri Caldwell, with whom he welcomed daughter Jolie Jones Levine. According to her website, she has worked as a model, author and singer and performed with the Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra. Last year, Quincy shared a photo on Instagram of him and Jolie sitting at the piano as children.

In 1963 he welcomed Rachel Jones, now a veterinarian, with Carol Reynolds.

Jones’ second wife was model Ulla Andersson, with whom he welcomed two more children: Martina Jones and Quincy Jones III. The former is a photographer, while the latter is a music producer like his father.

Quincy Jones and Rashida Jones: How Are They Related?

In 1974, Jones married his third wife, actress Peggy Lipton. They welcomed two children together: Kidada Jones and Rashida Jones. Kidada Jones is a fashion designer and in an Instagram post in March, Quincy described her as his “muse.”

Rashida Jones, meanwhile, is an actress best known for her roles as Karen Filippelli in ‘The Office’ and Ann Perkins in ‘Parks and Recreation’. Her partner is Vampire Weekend singer Ezra Koenig and she directed ‘Quincy’ in 2018, a Netflix documentary about her father.

Speaking to USA TODAY in 2018, Rashida Jones said the documentary was just a “starter kit” because her father “lived such a big life.”

“I just can’t believe that all of these experiences are wrapped up in this one human being who happens to be my father,” she said.

But I love it. I have a deep need for music, and I just never feel like I’m good enough to do it. I’ll doing.” never be good enough to do it.”

Jones’ youngest child is Kenya Kinski-Jones, a 31-year-old model whom he welcomed in 1993 with actress Nastassja Kinski. In a 2020 Instagram post for her father’s birthday, Kenya described Quincy as her “number one buddy and sunshine of love.”

“You fill my heart with lifelong gratitude,” she wrote at the time. “For as long as I can remember, you have always been the voice that has lifted me up. … You are hilarious, cheerful, wise, fun and real, with an inner child that never fades. Thank you for being an unwavering pillar and example of love. ‘I love you.’ barely scratches the surface.”
