Why are the Columbus Blue Jackets playing Tuesday at 7:30 PM?

play

The Columbus Blue Jackets will play at a slightly different time on Tuesday evening.

The team will take to the ice at 7:30 PM, half an hour later than the normal start time for a home game.

That’s because the NHL is having a “Frozen Frenzy” on Tuesday, with all 32 NHL teams playing in 16 games in one night. The games will be spaced out in 15- to 45-minute intervals to support a live look-in, flowy studio show on ESPN+ and ESPN2, USA Today previously reported.

Here are the start times for Tuesday’s “Frozen Frenzy” games.
