Plan to harvest your gardens this weekend before you worry about cold weather. Exposed pipes and underground pipes should be fine, so there is no rush to blow out sprinkler lines until temperatures begin to dip consistently into the upper 20s for several hours in the morning.

There was initial concern Tuesday about a widespread freeze, but overnight clouds are likely to keep morning lows a little too warm. We still see a risk of frost. By Wednesday morning the risk of a widespread freeze will increase and by then most will see their first freeze.

From here we start to warm up again…the start of the work week will keep highs in the low 60s to upper 50s…we’ll be back into the 70s on Thursday with a welcome chance of rain Friday evening into Saturday.
