Will Jacksonville Jaguars WR Brian Thomas Jr. play this week?

play

Plays Jacksonville Jaguars star wide receiver Brian Thomas Jr. Today?

The rookie pass-catcher suffered a pectoral injury during Jacksonville’s 30-27 loss to the Green Bay Packers last week. He was able to train to a limited extent every day this week and received attention from trainers for the injury on Wednesday.

He originally had a pad covering his torso before he removed it. Trainers then wrapped his ribs and chest area before continuing his exercise.

So far, the Jaguars’ first choice has been electric. He has recorded 33 catches for 549 yards and leads the team with five receiving touchdowns.

He is on pace to break the rookie records for catches, yards and touchdowns. The typically mild-mannered receiver seems to find another gear on the football field.

He has already been nominated for Rookie of the Week four times this season. It would be a major blow to Jacksonville’s offense if he can’t play.
