Someone in Michigan is $1 million richer this week (before taxes, of course).

On Tuesday, September 3, 2024, a winning Mega Millions ticket worth $1 million was sold at the Y&K Party Store drawing in Kentwood, Michigan.

The jackpot in Tuesday’s drawing was nearly $700 million, but no one won.

Since the Mega Millions jackpot run began on June 7, Michigan Lottery players have won more than $2.3 million in prizes, the Michigan Lottery said.

The Mega Millions jackpot was last won in Michigan in January 2021 by an Oakland County lottery club. The club won a Mega Millions jackpot of $1.05 billion. That jackpot was the largest ever won in Michigan.
