    Fickell hopes to improve on his 7-6 season in 2023 but faces a challenge in the revamped, expanded Big Ten Conference. The Badgers’ schedule includes No. 3 Oregon, No. 5 Alabama, No. 8 Penn State, No. 23 USC and No. 25 Iowa.

    The good news is that all three games against top 10 teams will be played in Madison and Wisconsin won’t face No. 2 Ohio State or No. 9 Michigan in the regular season.

    The Badgers will be looking for a spark from their new starting quarterback, Miami transfer Tyler Van Dyke, who ranks fourth in total passing yards among returning college quarterbacks over the past three seasons.
