The Republican presidential candidate’s campaign later said he was joking.

“So they loaded up the women, about 100 women – this is the first time Grover Cleveland has been around that many women since they started padlocking the doors of Miss Teen USA – and it was quite an interview, very good job,” Kimmel joked. .

He continued: “They got to the popular topic of IVF. Now that the Supreme Court has caved to the far right on abortion, many rightly believe that IVF is next on the list.”

While Trump claims to support fertility treatment, Democrats warn against reversing fertility treatment Roe v. Wade and rolling back abortion rights could pave the way for Republicans to next focus on IVF access.

“Now that Trump has learned what IVF is – which I still don’t know for sure – he wants to pretend that not only is he a huge supporter of IVF, he wants people to know that he is the biggest supporter of IVF,” Kimmel continued.

“Now he claims to be the father of IVF, which has been happening since 1978,” the host added, noting the date the first child was conceived using the fertility treatment.

Kimmel then threw in a joke about Trump’s parentage. “This man won’t even admit he’s Eric’s father – he’s the father of IVF,” he teased. “Maybe it’s short for Ivanka in his head.”

Vice President Kamala Harris also mocked Trump’s self-proclaimed title, calling it “pretty bizarre.”
