Zach Bryan’s Ex Deb Peifer Posts Cryptic TikTok After Brianna Podcast

Deb Peifer, who previously dated country star Zach Bryan, is raising eyebrows with her latest TikTok

Peifer uploaded a cryptic video after Brianna ‘Chickenfry’ LaPaglia opened up about her own breakup with the musician – alleging emotional abuse – on the BFFs podcast released on Thursday, November 7.

The clip showed a happy Peifer pouring a glass of Josh Wine, smiling as she sipped her drink and danced to Taylor Swift’s “Clean.” She simply captioned the post: “wine Thursday with my roommate” and tagged her friend MK along with a yellow heart emoji.

While Peifer, 26, said nothing verbally in the video nor explained the meaning of the message in her caption, fans theorized in the comments section that the video is a subtle nod to her past relationship with Bryan, 29, and connection to the podcast of LaPaglia tell everything.

“Josh Wine. T Swift lyrics (Dave Stans for). The song choice. The wine. The smile. But maybe it’s all coincidental. I like this for her though 🥰,” one user wrote. “…posted exactly at 8pm,” wrote another (which is when the BFFs podcast episode was released).

The meaning of Swift’s song “Clean” is generally about closure, which fans assume is what Peifer is referring to during the podcast release. Bryan and Peifer split in May 2023 after first linking up last year.

Additionally, fans associate the Josh Wine with Josh Richards, who co-hosts the BFFs podcast with Dave Portnoy from Barstool. The wine brand itself has become the focus of an internet meme that went viral early this year.

The “Dawns” singer announced on X (formerly Twitter) that his relationship with Peifer had ended, claiming he wanted to share the news “for transparency and with respect.” He wrote at the time: “Things are mutual between us, we leave with many memories and good times.”

The rift between Bryan and LaPaglia, 25, meanwhile, came to light in October when the country star announced on social media that they had split after going public with their relationship in July 2023.

In a post on Instagram Stories, Bryan wrote: “Addressing something: Brianna and I broke up with (each other) and I respect and love her with every ounce of my heart. She has loved me unconditionally for a long time. that I will always thank her.”

Shortly after Bryan uploaded his post, LaPaglia responded on her own Instagram Stories, noting that she felt “blindsided.” The Plan Bri UnCut podcaster elaborated on the sentiment in a short YouTube video.

On November 7, LaPaglia appeared in Portnoy and Richards’ film BFFs podcast to further elaborate on her past relationship with Bryan and reveal shocking details about their breakup, such as accusing the singer of emotional abuse.

Representatives for LaPaglia and Bryan did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment.

“The last year of my life was the hardest year of my life dealing with the abuse from this guy,” LaPaglia said, referring to Bryan. “I’m still scared now because I’m scared of him,” she continued. “My brain has been rewired and I’m afraid of making him angry. Last week I didn’t want to talk about it because I was afraid.”

LaPaglia also claimed that the women who were previously in relationships with Bryan had to sign non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) to prevent them from publicly talking about their own experiences with him. She is said to have received $12 million along with an apartment in New York for ‘not talking about the relationship’.

Although Peifer has not yet spoken out following LaPaglia’s claims about the BFFs podcastshe opened in october after the Plan Bri UnCut The divorce of the podcaster and the country singer was confirmed.

On October 24, Peifer posted a TikTok in response to comments she saw on her own social media pages, referencing negative feelings she has about her ex’s highly publicized breakup. “I don’t really feel like I have to say this, but I think I want to. To be honest, I’m not 100% sure yet,” Peifer began.

“But I just want to be clear about the fact that I don’t find any satisfaction in hurting other people. Especially hurting other women,” she continued, “I think emotions are so nuanced and complicated, but I don’t think so. ” feel better because other people are hurting in any way.”

She concluded, “I don’t think you should either, but that’s your journey.”
