Caitlin Clark made WNBA history again on Wednesday.

The Indiana Fever rookie made her 100th 3-pointer of the season in a 93-86 win over the Los Angeles Sparks, becoming the first rookie to break into the triple-digit triple club and just the sixth player overall. She joins Sabrina Ionescu, Diana Taurasi, Arike Ogunbowale, Jewell Loyd, Kelsey Plum and teammate Kelsey Mitchell.

Clark is the only WNBA player to make 100 three-pointers in a single season and also dish out 200 assists.

Clark finished with 24 points on 8 of 17 shooting (4 of 10 from long range), 10 rebounds, 10 assists, seven turnovers and three steals for her second career triple-double. They are the only triple-doubles by a rookie in WNBA history.

As time expired, Clark was still one rebound away from her historic triple-double, but she made it with an easy grab for the game’s final miss. The Gainbridge Fieldhouse crowd knew what it meant.

Aliyah Boston, the Fever’s previous No. 1 pick, also had an outstanding game, scoring 24 points on 10 of 16 shooting, grabbing 14 rebounds and adding four assists.

As it stands, Clark is on pace to break Alyssa Thomas’ single-season record of 316 assists with 336 and finish third on the all-time list for three-pointers made with 120, behind Ionescu’s record of 128 in a season and Taurasi’s 121. She already holds the record for turnovers with 188.

In 34 games in his career, Clark has already third most career games with 20 points and 10 rebounds with seven points, behind only Courtney Vandersloot (10 in 422 games) and Diana Taurasi (nine in 559 games).

It was a stunning debut season for Clark, who entered the league with unprecedented hype and attention after a career at Iowa in which she broke the all-time NCAA scoring record and reached two national championships.

After a difficult adjustment period in her first month of the season, Clark has become one of the most productive players in the entire league and the favorite to win WNBA Rookie of the Year. She’s not the only rookie making history, though, as rival Angel Reese already holds the record for most rebounds in a season.

The Fever have secured a playoff spot for the first time since 2016, snapping the longest playoff drought in WNBA history.
