Cardinals dominate Rams, win 41-10

For the first time in his career, quarterback Kyler Murray played a “perfect” game.

Murray finished with a 158.3 passer rating in the Cardinals’ 41-10 win over the Rams on Sunday. He played very well in the game.

The quarterback completed 17 of 21 passes for 266 yards with three touchdowns. He also had 59 yards rushing on five attempts to help the Cardinals to a victory.

He had a 31-point lead in the fourth quarter, but Arizona pulled Murray with about eight minutes left in the game and brought in Clayton Tune.

After making just one short catch last week, rookie receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. grabbed four for 130 yards for his first two touchdowns this week. He opened the scoring with a 23-yard reception and followed it up with a 60-yard catch to cap a one-play touchdown drive.

But Harrison received no reception after the first quarter.

But he didn’t really need one. James Conner capped off a dominant day of rushing with 122 yards on 21 carries, including a 5-yard touchdown. Overall, the Cardinals had 231 yards rushing on 40 carries — good for an average of 5.8 yards per pop.

The Rams struggled to get anything going offensively and now have another injury problem with another player. Cooper Kupp was forced to leave the game with an ankle problem after suffering the injury late in the first half. He caught four passes for 37 yards before leaving the game.

Los Angeles’ other top receiver, Puka Nacua, was placed on the injured list earlier this week.

Quarterback Matthew Stafford finished the day 19 of 27 for 216 yards. The Rams finished with 53 yards rushing, with Kyren Williams catching 12 carries for 25 yards.

The Cardinals are now 1-1 and play the Lions at home, which promises to be an interesting game in Week 3.

The Rams are 0-2 for the first time under head coach Sean McVay — the first time since 2011. They play their home opener next week against the 49ers.
