Utah Hockey Club fans will be able to “represent their new team with first-season jerseys as early as November,” according to Belle Fraser of the SALT LAKE TRIBUNE. RUMOR MILL: In Utah, Brogan Houston noted that a report appeared on X on Thursday stating that Hockey HOFer Ken Holland is “joining the front office of the Utah Hockey Club.” Holland was at Utah HC’s training facility in Kearns, Utah, for training camp on Friday, although he was “not in the stands with” GM Bill Armstrong and the other front office staff. Houston reported that the team told him Holland was there “as a guest, as a ‘friend of many in the organization.’ At least Holland “wasn’t hired by the team at that point.” Holland confirmed he was “just visiting.” Houston: “But the interesting thing is, he was wearing a Utah Hockey Club jacket.” Holland also said that his son, Brad Holland, a former assistant GM who parted ways with the Oilers last week, “has not made a decision about where he will take his talents” (DESERT NEWS, September 20).
