The Oregon Duck mascot saw his opportunity on ESPN’s “College GameDay” Saturday morning and took it.

While the ESPN crew was busy making their picks for the upcoming games on Saturday morning, The Duck stood in the background holding a sign with a message for his beloved, beloved actress Sydney Sweeney.

“Sydney Sweeney Call Me Back,” the sign read.

It was a desperate attempt, but one that many men would undertake if given 15 seconds of fame.

Luckily for the Duck, his crush responded to him on social media.

Unfortunately for the Duck, it appears to be a rejection.

“Sorry I changed my number haha,” Sweeney wrote as the caption to the photo on social media.

The HBO star of Euphoria, White Lotus, and many, many other things was at least nice enough to respond, but we can all wish she at least gave The Duck a chance to woo her a little more.

She could have at least waited until Saturday’s game against No. 2 Ohio State was over to make her decision. If the Ducks end up winning, she might regret saying “no” so quickly.
