Volleyball from No. 2 Nebraska beats No. 10 Purdue in nail-biter at the Bob

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Nebraska volleyball defeated the Boilermakers in a top-10 matchup in Lincoln on Friday night.

The No. 2 Huskers defeated No. 10 Purdue 25-22, 22-25, 23-25, 25-22, 17-15 at the Bob Devaney Center.

The match was exciting from start to finish, with several lead changes.

The Boilermakers defeated the Huskers 0.311% to 0.242%, but their 19 service errors cost them.

Merritt Beason led Nebraska with 22 kills, followed by Harper Murray with 17. Andi Jackson added 14 and Rebekah Allick had 10.

On defense, Bergen led Reilly with 17. Lexi Rodriguez recorded 12.

Nebraska improves to 15-1 on the season.

The Huskers host Rutgers on Saturday. The game starts at 7:00 PM and will be streamed on Big Ten Plus.
