Heartland businesses offering free services to veterans on Veterans Day

(KFVS) – Some businesses in the Heartland are offering free services to service members on Veterans Day on Monday, November 11.

MISSOURI:

Cape Girardeau Province:

  • Casey’s General Stores is offering veterans a free coffee or fountain drink of any size on Veterans Day. Casey’s is expanding the same offering year-round to active duty military personnel and on-duty uniformed first responders – including law enforcement, fire and EMS personnel.
  • Local pellet grill manufacturer Smokin’ Brothers is celebrating Veterans Day by donating a 30″ Premier Plus grill to a well-deserved military service member. To nominate a veteran or active duty military member, visit the Smokin’ Brothers website by November 11. The winner will be drawn at random on November 12.
  • The Jiffy Lube Multicare Service Center at 889 North Kingshighway in Cape Girardeau invites all active, retired and veteran military personnel to their location for a special 50% discount on any oil change on Monday, November 11th. If customers are unable to come in on Veterans Day, this location offers 25% off every oil change every day year round for active, retired and veteran military personnel.

ILLINOIS:

Pulaski Region:

  • In honor of Veterans Day, the Alexander/Pulaski County NAACP is sponsoring a free breakfast for veterans and their spouses. This special event will take place at two locations on Monday, November 11, 2024, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Veterans in Pulaski County are invited to the Housing Authority of Pulaski County, located at 130 Richland Terrace in Mounds. For Alexander County veterans, the event will be held at Harvest Christian Community Church, 727-37th Street in Cairo.
