Ariana Grande fans outraged over criticism of 2025 Grammy nominations

Ariana Grande’s fans are expressing their anger after the Grammy Awards snubbed the musician with their 2025 nominations.

The singer released her seventh album ‘Eternal Sunshine’ in March, after a three-year hiatus. The highly anticipated album included hits like “Yes, And?” and “We can’t be friends (wait for your love).”

Despite the album breaking records and Grande being praised for her vulnerability, the Grammys did not include the album or any of the songs in their major categories, such as Album of the Year, Record of the Year or Song of the Year.

The album ‘Eternal Sunshine’ earned a spot in the Best Pop Vocal Album category, while ‘Yes, And?’ received a nomination in the Best Dance Pop Recording category.

Grande, 31, received a final nomination in the Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for her remix song “This Boy is Mine” featuring Brandy and Monica.

Shortly after the nominations were announced Friday, Grande’s fans took to social media to share their outrage that both “Eternal Sunshine” and “We Can’t Be Friends (Wait for your Love)” were snubbed.

“What do you mean ARIANA GRANDE IS NOT NOMINATED FOR ALBUM, SONG AND RECORD OF THE YEAR? ONLY ONE F–KING NOMINATION? JUSTICE FOR HER AND ETERNAL SUNSHINE! No wonder she wants to focus on acting, SHE WAS ROBBED! wrote one upset fan on X.

“Ariana Grande’s We Can’t be Friends was easily the BEST video of the year and there were absolutely no contenders that even came close. The Grammys will pay for knocking this amazing song out of the music video and song categories “, another user responded via X.

In 2019, Grande made headlines when she skipped the awards show after publicly feuding with producers over which song she would perform.

According to Variety, Grande felt “offended” because producers didn’t want her to perform her hit song “7 Rings.”

Producers ultimately offered a compromise allowing Grande to combine “7 Rings” with another song of his choosing. However, she declined the offer and did not attend.
