Buffalo Bills at Indianapolis Colts: Open thread in the first half

The Buffalo Bills and the Indianapolis Colts will start soon. It’s the first meeting between these two clubs in the state of Indiana since the 2018 season. That was quarterback Derek Anderson’s first start for the Bills, and he threw three interceptions in an ugly 37-5 loss.

Quarterback Josh Allen was a rookie for that game, but he had suffered an elbow injury against the Houston Texans just a week earlier. That injury kept him out for five weeks. The Bills went two games without scoring a touchdown, including that Colts game debacle, en route to a 6-10 finish.

This year, Joe Flacco makes his second start for Indianapolis, as he replaced the ineffective Anthony Richardson in hopes of qualifying for the playoffs in a wide-open AFC. Indianapolis lost in Flacco’s first start last week, falling to 4-5, and while they are just one game behind the Denver Broncos for the final Wild Card spot, they are in danger of falling out of the race entirely.

Your open thread for the first half is here, friends. Remember to be polite to each other. For that classic gaming thread experience, set the comments to ‘oldest’. And most importantly, enjoy the game wherever you look.

Go Bills!
