Eagles Could Land Panthers Playmaker Due To Injury Concerns For Dallas Goedert

The Philadelphia Eagles are currently missing one of their most important offensive pieces.

Eagles star Dallas Goedert missed his third straight game on Sunday when Philadelphia took on the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Eagles have had to find a way to get through it without one of their best offensive weapons.

Goedert is struggling with a hamstring injury and it is unclear when exactly he will return. Hopefully Goedert will be ready to hit the ground running by the time the Eagles take on the Dallas Cowboys in Week 10, but it’s too early to know.

In the meantime, it might make sense to bring in another pass-catcher to provide more depth, and FanSided’s Jake Beckman suggested Carolina Panthers Tommy Tremble as a trade candidate.

“Tommy Tremble is the 24-year-old tight end for the Panthers and will be a free agent after this season,” Beckman said. “It would be worth making choices for a player they have to pay at the end of the season if they want to keep him. The Panthers need to sell everything they have to reset their rebuild. He is probably not a fundamental piece of that franchise, but it’s the Panthers and they’re really stupid, so who knows?”

Tremble had nine receptions and 72 yards through his first five games of the season. Last year he had 23 catches for 194 yards and three touchdowns. He may not have a big name, but he could be a deep option.
