There are no undefeated teams left in the NFL after Sunday’s action. The Kansas City Chiefs’ perfect start to the season ended with Week 11’s 30-21 loss to the Buffalo Bills at Highmark Stadium, halting the defending Super Bowl Champions’ win streak of nine straight games.

When the Chiefs and Bills collide, things are usually pretty evenly matched. After all, the AFC franchises are 4-4 against each other in eight meetings (regular season and playoffs) since quarterbacks Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen started playing against each other in 2024.

It almost seems like another Chiefs-Bills matchup is inevitable at this point, hence Mahomes’ surprising statement after the game.

After the final whistle blew, Mahomes approached Allen to congratulate him on the Bills’ latest win. While the Chiefs didn’t have the last laugh this time, the 29-year-old quarterback made sure to let his counterpart know that this likely won’t be the last meeting between the Super Bowl contenders.

“We’ll do it again, baby,” Mahomes told Allen in a video clip, courtesy of NFL on CBS.

Mahomes’ performance was a mixed bag in the loss as he completed 23 of 33 passes for 196 yards and three touchdowns while also throwing two interceptions. Allen, meanwhile, went 27 of 40 in the pocket while adding 262 passing yards, one TD and an INT on top of the 12th turn, resulting in another 55 yards and another score.

While Chiefs fans are not happy that the undefeated streak is over, the Bills’ win is nothing special. After all, Buffalo is 4-0 in its last four regular-season meetings with Kansas City, outscoring the latter by an average of 8.5 points per game.

That said, it’s the postseason where Andy Reid & Co. have had the advantage over Sean McDermott’s team.

After all, the Chiefs have won all three of their playoff meetings with the Bills since 2020. The last postseason meeting came in January when Kansas City earned a 27-24 win over Buffalo in the Division Round before winning the second. of consecutive Super Bowls.

Chiefs fans know that Mahomes is an expert at settling scores when it counts, as evidenced by the comments section below the video.

“Bills just won their annual midseason Super Bowl,” one fan commented. “They will go home crying again in the play-offs.”

“Josh Allen plays Super Bowls in November, KC plays them in February,” another Chiefs supporter replied.

“You just have to laugh because the Chiefs don’t care that they lost,” chimed in another fan. “They know what really matters.”

If the Chiefs win their third consecutive Super Bowl, the fanbase will more than forgive the last loss to the Bills. Plus, it’s better that Kansas City gets the loss out of the way now than for it to happen in the playoffs.

That said, the Week 11 loss did impact the franchise’s championship prospects. After being FanDuel Sportsbook’s Super Bowl LIX favorite through the first three months of the season, the Chiefs are now second at +500 odds, while the Bills are currently fourth at +700.
