Las Vegas, NV – Gusty winds, cooler temperatures and a chance of rain will hit southern Nevada early this week. Motorists traveling along the I-15 corridor should prepare for potentially hazardous conditions, especially near mountainous areas.

Monday will bring a 30% chance of rain to the Las Vegas area, with wind gusts up to 20 mph, according to the National Weather Service. Temperatures are expected to peak at 62°F, down slightly from Sunday’s high of 65°F. Light mountain snow is forecast in areas north and west of Interstate 15, especially in the Sierra and Lincoln County regions.

Temperatures will rise slightly to 67°F on Tuesday, with a chance of rain continuing through the morning. Travelers are advised to take extra time and check local road conditions, especially when going to higher altitudes where visibility and traction may be compromised.

The extended forecast shows drier weather returning Wednesday, with mostly sunny skies and a high of 65°F. Thanksgiving Day is expected to remain calm, with a pleasant high of 60°F under clear skies – ideal conditions for holiday gatherings.

Residents should secure loose outdoor gear to prevent wind damage and plan accordingly for variable weather throughout the week.
