A new ad from the Harris-Walz campaign focused on reproductive freedom has launched ahead of Vice President Kamala Harris’s speech on Friday in Houston, Texas, which will focus on the state’s draconian abortion laws.

Today, The independent has published an investigative series and released a new documentary, The A word, which examines the state of abortion access and reproductive care in the US after the fall of the US Roe v. Wade.

Vice President Kamala Harris added remarks to her agenda today at 1 p.m. at the Naval Observatory, her official residence in Washington, DC.

In an appearance on CNBC’s Squawbox this morning, hedge fund billionaire Bill Ackman made a foreign policy case for Donald Trump, implying that dictators fear him because he might actually do what he says, like “bomb Moscow.”

He also blamed the Biden administration for Russia’s invasion of Georgia and Crimea when they occurred during the Bush and Obama presidencies respectively, and dismissed John Kelly calling Trump a fascist as “one person who did a series of things claims’.

Ackman also appeared to have no confidence in the jury’s verdict that found Trump liable for sexual assault.

For more than a decade, “Melinda” has raised a child she never wanted: a child who was the product of rape.

Melinda, whose name was changed at her request to protect her child, said her perspective often “stumbles people,” but that doesn’t mean she hates her child; she only wishes she could have gotten an abortion.

Election officials in Georgia conducted an audit of the state’s voters and found that there were only 20 noncitizens among the state’s 8.2 million registered people.

Secretary of State Brian Raffensperger today announced the findings, which underscore the idea that noncitizen voting is extremely rare, regardless of what some in the Republican Party and the Trump campaign claim, in an effort to cast doubt on the results prior to the elections.

The 20 people were found not to be citizens based on affidavits they signed to avoid jury duty, Raffesnperger said at a news conference this morning.

That data was then compared to federal citizenship and voter registration databases. Their registrations were canceled and the case was referred to the police for further investigation and possible prosecution.

“There is no evidence that there is an overwhelming number of noncitizens on the list,” Gabriel Sterling, the secretary of state’s chief operating officer, said Wednesday. “Because the reality is that if you are not a citizen and legally resident and you are on the path to citizenship, you will never become a citizen if you try to register to vote. It’s very high risk, very low reward.”

The citizenship of another 156 people was not immediately determined and will be subject to further investigation.

“Georgia is a model when it comes to preventing noncitizen voting,” Raffensperger said, adding, “We must remain constantly vigilant.”
