The New York Yankees sit comfortably at 2-0 after a 6-3 win over the Cleveland Guardians on Tuesday.

The Yankees took a 3-0 lead after two innings thanks to an error that brought home Gleyber Torres and a pair of RBI from Alex Verdugo and Aaron Judge. Cleveland got on the board with a pair of runs in the fifth that ultimately didn’t do too much damage as it loaded the bases with no outs.

New York further extended its lead in the sixth after an Anthony Rizzo double combined with a fielding error led to Anthony Volpe scoring. In the seventh, Judge finally hit his first home run of the postseason in the seventh to score two runs and make it a 6-2 lead. The Guardians hit a solo homer in the ninth, but it was too little too late.

It hasn’t been the best postseason for Judge, but his first home run came at a good time and it could be just what he needs to build some momentum.

After the Game 2 victory, fans praised Judge for getting back on track and raved about the Yankees for taking a 2–0 lead.

New York still needs a few wins to advance to the World Series for the first time since 2009, but Yankees fans should feel good about their chances to start the series after a few wins.
