Aaron Judge makes Yankee Stadium raucous with Game 5 homer

Aaron Judge is back.

The Yankees slugger — finally, mercifully — hit his first home run of the World Series, going deep on the first pitch he saw from Jack Flaherty in the bottom of the first inning of Wednesday night’s Game 5 against the Dodgers.

The two-run shot to right-center field also gave Juan Soto, who was ahead of him, a 2-0 lead, much to the delight of the Yankee Stadium crowd.

It only got rawer when Jazz Chisholm followed it up with his own solo recording.

For Judge, the long ball – his first since ALCS Game 3 against the Guardians at OCt. 17 – was a welcome change from his playoff struggles, which have only increased since the start of the World Series.

The 400-foot shot was his third hit and first extra base hit against the Dodgers to date.

Judge continued his electric night with a leaping catch as he crashed into the wall in the fourth inning, robbing Freddie Freeman of an extra base hit.

It was also a good sign for the Yankees as they look to extend the Fall Classic one more time after Tuesday’s 11-4 win in Game 4.
