It’s time for October’s final four.

The first pitch of the League Championship Series in Major League Baseball’s playoffs is just a few days away.

Two teams have secured their spots in the LCS, both from New York.

The New York Mets were the first to advance, winning their Division Series game against the Philadelphia Phillies on Wednesday. They will soon head to California for the National League Championship Series, where they will play the Los Angeles Dodgers.

In the American League, the New York Yankees eliminated the Kansas City Royals on Thursday to advance. They will host the Cleveland Guardians or Detroit Tigers, with the winner of Saturday’s deciding Game 5 advancing to the American League Championship Series.

How many games are there in the ALCS, NLCS?

The Championship Series features a best-of-seven format with the higher seed having home field advantage for Games 1, 2 and, if necessary, 6 and 7.

When does the NLCS start?

The NLCS is expected to start on Sunday, October 13.
